Helping you find the time to workout.

Good Day Everyone!

I am hoping that you have found a time in your day that you can devote to your health.  For me, rising early fits well into my schedule. I took this photo last winter when I was in Florida on vacation.

If you're still struggling with carving out time for yourself, try setting your alarm clock 15 minutes earlier tonight. Before you go to bed, set out some comfy workout clothes or better yet, sleep in them. If you're ready to move, there is less chance you will get distracted by other things.

Before I rise out of bed, I make a list of three things I am grateful for. Breathe and smile.  I also try not to turn on any digital media right away.  Try to set your focus on positive energy before letting the world crash in.

Out of all of my clients, those who have had the most success in achieving their fitness goals, are the ones who stick to the same workout time everyday. I realize that we all have busy lives but taking care of ourselves is the most important thing we can do.

Still not convinced that you have any time?  In the evening, when you are watching t.v, use the commercials as a prompt to move.

Jog, or march in place, for the first commercial, of usually 3 or 4 commercials.
Then try to fit in the following before the show starts again. You can repeat this during the hour long show. Have fun with it!

5 slow squats
(Stand hip width apart, hip hinge fwd as you send your bum back. Keep knees just in line with toes, not passed if possible. Lower to a pain free range or 90.)
5 Push ups
(Down on your hands and knees. Knees under your hips, hands wide and in line with the chest, lower your nose down to the floor. Too easy, move your knees back.)
5 Supermans
(Lie on your stomach, arms out in front. Lift opposite arm and leg 10 times or lift both arms and legs 5 times.
5 Sit-ups
(Lie on your back, feet on the floor, knees bent, hands at temples. Raise shoulders off the matt, no higher than 30'. Keep a space between your chin and chest.)

My goal is just get you moving. Of course, if you have any health conditions that would limit your ability to do the above exercises, it is best to listen to your body and do what feels right for you. Maybe that means just marching on the spot during the commercials.  Either way, stand up and move.

Have a great day.
Beth
